Are you looking for a contractor with quality
workmanship and dependability?

These values are so hard to find these days. I will personally, as the owner, see your project to its finality. I strive to be a contractor that pays attention to the needs and wishes of the client. We work hard to make your build experience as pleasant as possible.

Here at KMS, we aim to please! I have over 30 years of experience and 8 years in business. I have built buildings as big as 15,000 sq. ft. and as small as knocking out a couple of walls to enlarge a bathroom. I take every job with the same importance, no matter how big or small.

I specialize in framing, concrete custom tile jobs, decks, patio covers, fences, re-models and room additions. I have been framing for over 30 years. I am on site, usually with my bags on, every step of the framing process. We also specialize in building custom stairs, from free standing radius to straight runs.

New Home Framing Somis - Contractor Hiring Tips: 10 Strategies To Do The Job When you really need a contractor, you would like to make sure you hire the very best person or team for the task. This isn't always easy, because the situation can rapidly be more complicated than you anticipated. The subsequent 10 tips will help you make the right decisions: 1. Search For Locals If you can look for a local contractor who has been around business for a long time, do this. Someone with a local background and reputation is simpler to analyze and far more likely to be 100% reliable. 2. Be Sure They're Licensed And Insured Don't simply take someone's word for doing it: Have a look at their paperwork yourself and in case you hire them, make copies of the important documents. Should anything happen during construction, you're going to must protect yourself plus your property. 3. Don't Hire People You're Not Comfortable Around Because you'll be working so closely with all the team, perhaps even on an extended time period, you desire to successfully and your family members feel at ease around them. Have confidence in instincts, and the good reputation you've investigated before the job even starts. 4. Ask To See Previous Work It's always a smart idea to inspect the earlier work of any construction professional, to ensure you approve in the quality and it's stood the test of your energy. 5. Ask To Speak With Previous Clients While you're looking into past jobs, go on and talk to the people the task was provided to ask if the crew showed up on time, stuck towards the estimates and completed high-quality work. 6. Try To Find Specialists For Your Particular Job(s) If you're owning your bathroom remodeled, you don't really want to engage a landscaper to do it. Engage a professional who focuses on the exact job you're trying to have done. 7. Ask Different Contractors For Estimates When you hunt for your ideal contractor, request rough estimates. While they won't quote you exact figures, you'll get a good thought of what you're set for. 8. Get Every Piece Of Information Hammered Outside In An Agreement After you've hired your team, just before they start work, have all the specifics of the work spelled out within a written and legally binding contract. 9. Determine If They Guarantee Their Work Before signing in the dotted line, make them include information regarding what kind of guarantee they give for the work they're going to do. Make sure it covers all the specifics that apply to your position. 10. Know What's Expected Individuals A construction team might need to work in and round the home when it's empty, as an example, or they may expect anyone to have furniture moved away from certain rooms before they arrive. Inquire about these small things, to avoid future surprises as well as to understand precisely what your team is going to take good care of. The team you hire to mend or modify your property should be top-notch in many ways. You need to trust their ability to do a high-quality job and you need to know you're getting included in the right sorts of people. These 10 tips will allow you to hire the best contractor for the jobs you may have waiting.
