Are you looking for a contractor with quality
workmanship and dependability?

These values are so hard to find these days. I will personally, as the owner, see your project to its finality. I strive to be a contractor that pays attention to the needs and wishes of the client. We work hard to make your build experience as pleasant as possible.

Here at KMS, we aim to please! I have over 30 years of experience and 8 years in business. I have built buildings as big as 15,000 sq. ft. and as small as knocking out a couple of walls to enlarge a bathroom. I take every job with the same importance, no matter how big or small.

I specialize in framing, concrete custom tile jobs, decks, patio covers, fences, re-models and room additions. I have been framing for over 30 years. I am on site, usually with my bags on, every step of the framing process. We also specialize in building custom stairs, from free standing radius to straight runs.

Exterior Clapboard Somis - How to Avoid Construction Contractor Scams Construction contractors are a dime 12 and will help make your life much simpler when you need work done on the home or you're looking to make a new residence. Of course, with many options comes a lot of scam artists looking to make you part with your hard earned money. After all, just how do you really trust someone you've never worked with? The genuine catch here is that you can't! The only method you could make certain you won't get scammed would be to perform your due diligence and prevent the signs of a scam that a contractor may exhibit. We've taken some time to compile probably the most common methods homeowners have gotten scammed previously with hopes that you simply won't improve the numbers! 1. It is recommended to function as the anyone to approach a construction contractor and never the opposite. Some so-called contractors try and scam homeowners by going door-to-door in hopes of locating a new victim. Never engage a contractor that accomplishes this, and more importantly, don't let yourself get pressured into building a quick decision. Along with, most scam artists only accepts upfront cash payments, which can be a lot more reason to avoid them! 2. It's your career to find out if the contractor involved has everything to hide. It is possible to take the initial step by asking him for a couple references that you could contact yourself. It's crucial that you understand the work habits of the construction contractor, so spend some time to visit job sites to get a feel for his work ethics. Remember, a sincere contractor with nothing to hide could have no problems discovering references or enabling you to look into one among his many job sites. 3. Ensure that the contractor carries a physical office plus a contact address in the area. When the contractor has no office and all you can use for contact purposes can be a P.O. box, it may be a sign of someone looking to scam you. Choosing someone local doesn't just mean you will spend less money, but available in contact with the contractor personally. 4. Get knowledgeable about the regulations for licensing contractors in your town. All states have different groups of rules, however, if a contractor you're hoping to work with has no insurance and isn't licensed where you live, never under any circumstances hire them. It may create your search a lttle bit harder, but it can stop you from getting scammed from the start. In no way will it be easy to find an honest construction contractor in every area. Sure, a straightforward search on Google will yield many results in your city, but it doesn't always mean each of the contractors can have your greatest interests at heart. At the end of the time, you need to be the smart one and figure out in case the contractor is telling the truth and whether you can trust them.
