Here at KMS, we aim to please! I have over 30 years of experience and 8 years in business. I have built buildings as big as 15,000 sq. ft. and as small as knocking out a couple of walls to enlarge a bathroom. I take every job with the same importance, no matter how big or small.

I specialize in framing, concrete custom tile jobs, decks, patio covers, fences, re-models and room additions. I have been framing for over 30 years. I am on site, usually with my bags on, every step of the framing process. We also specialize in building custom stairs, from free standing radius to straight runs.

Overhead Trellis Montecito - Ways to avoid Construction Contractor Scams Construction contractors really are a dime 12 and will help make your life far less difficult if you want work done in your home or you're looking to make a new residence. Of course, with lots of options will come a great deal of scam artists looking to help you part with your hard earned dollars. In fact, how can you really trust someone you've never worked with? The true catch here is that you simply can't! The only way that one could ensure you won't get scammed is usually to perform your due diligence and get away from the signs of a gimmick that the contractor may exhibit. We've taken the time to compile among the most common methods homeowners have gotten scammed in past times with hopes that you simply won't add to the numbers! 1. It is best to end up being the one to approach a construction contractor and not the opposite. Some so-called contractors attempt to scam homeowners by going door-to-door hoping getting a new victim. Never engage a contractor that can this, and more importantly, don't let yourself get pressured into setting up a quick decision. Not to mention, most scam artists only accepts upfront cash payments, which can be all the more reason to prevent them! 2. It's your career to find out in case the contractor involved has anything to hide. You are able to take the initial step by asking him for a few references that one could contact yourself. It's important that you are aware of the work habits of the construction contractor, so take the time to visit job sites to acquire a feel for his work ethics. Remember, an honest contractor with absolutely nothing to hide may have no problems developing references or helping you to take a look at among his many job sites. 3. Make sure the contractor has a physical office along with a contact address in your area. If the contractor has no office and everything you can use for contact purposes is actually a P.O. box, it can be an indication of someone looking to scam you. Choosing someone local doesn't just mean you are going to spend less money, but that exist in touch with the contractor personally. 4. Get knowledgeable about the regulations for licensing contractors in your neighborhood. All states have different groups of rules, however, if a contractor you're hoping to work alongside has no insurance and isn't licensed in your state, never under any circumstances hire them. It could create your search a little harder, however it can keep you from getting scammed in the first place. By no means would it be readily accessible an honest construction contractor in virtually any area. Sure, a simple browse Google will yield many contributes to your city, however it doesn't always mean all the contractors will have the best interests at heart. At the end of your day, you should be the smart one and determine in the event the contractor is telling the reality and regardless of whether you can rely them.
